MEMBERSHIP STRUCTURE & FEES

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP
$67.50 per annum

Student Membership is available to those whom are enrolled for the majority of their time as a student of photography in a recognised tertiary institution of learning. They must be nominated by one Full Member or Life Member. Student Members do not have voting rights to the Association and cannot hold elected office. Student Membership is available for up to four years whilst maintaining full-time studies, after which the member will become eligible for other membership as may be applicable.

ASSISTANT MEMBERSHIP
$135.00 per annum (or $11.25 per month)

Assistant Membership is available to any person who derives the majority of their income from assisting commercial photographers. They must be nominated by one Full Member or Life Member. They must be known to the nominator. Assistant Members do not have voting rights to the Association and cannot hold elected office. Assistant Membership is available for up to four years whilst maintaining professional assisting after which the member will become eligible for other membership as may be applicable.

EMERGING MEMBERSHIP
$247.50 per annum (or $20.63 per month)

Emerging Membership shall be available to those people who are within the first three years of commencing occupation in the main as a professional commercial photographer, or a professional assistant who is also working part-time as a professional photographer. They must be nominated by one Full Member or Life Member and seconded by another. They must be known to both nominator and seconder. Emerging members are expected to take an active role by volunteering for a position on at least one Association sub-committee within three years. Any such Emerging member who does not maintain three consecutive year’s membership is not eligible for the discount membership fee again.

FULL MEMBERSHIP
$337.50 per annum (or $28.13 per month) + $73.13 joining fee

Full Membership is available to those people whose occupation is currently, and for at least the preceding three years, in the main as a professional commercial photographer. They must be nominated by one Full Member or Life Member and seconded by another. They must be known to both nominator and seconder. Applicants for Full Membership must submit a sample of work (including imagery created for commercial assignments) for review by the Executive. Full Members shall have voting rights and enjoy all privileges of the Association as may from time-to-time be available. Current Emerging Photographer members shall not be required to pay the Joining Fee when upgrading their membership.

AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP
$337.50 per annum (or $28.13 per month) + $73.13 joining fee

Affiliate Membership is available to those people engaged in fields directly associated with professional commercial photography, but who themselves are not photographers, assistants, or student photographers. This includes photographic agents, representatives and educators, but does not include suppliers.
