For the latest Asics sports apparel campaign AIPA member Tony Drayton was called upon to create a series of cinematic images utilising a variety of locations around Auckland city. Incorporating sun flare into each image was an essential part of the brief, so extensive location scouting and careful planning was required to achieve this dramatic effect in camera.

One of the most important parts of the New Zealand Copyright Act for photographers, designers, artists, software developers and other creators of original works - and their clients - is the "Commissioning Rule". This Rule (contained in section 21(3) of the NZ Copyright Act 1994) provides that, where an original work is created on a client's instructions for a fee (or other reward), then the client (not the creator) owns the copyright in the work.
